The Top Navigation Bar: Search, Languages, and Access Buttons

The bar at the top of Guitar Trainer is not just decoration. It's your starting point for reaching any part of the site.

As soon as you open guitartrainer.academy, the first thing you see is the main navigation bar at the top of the screen. It stays visible on every page. Let's go through it from left to right.

The Lesson Search Bar

The first element is the search bar. Use it to find any exercise on the site by typing its name or a related term: "Triads", "Drop 3 chords", "Pentatonic scale" — whatever you're looking for.

Results depend on how specific your search is. If you type something precise like "Exercise 34 Note C Base Block", the system returns a single result. If you only type "Exercise 34", the list will be much longer. Neither approach is wrong: the first is more direct, the second is useful when you don't remember the exact name or want to explore variations.

The Language Selector

Next to the search bar is the language selector: a dropdown menu that lets you switch the language of all site content. Guitar Trainer is available in Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese.

For more details on how this works, check the dedicated post: CGT-08 · How to Change the Site Language.

The Blog Button

Further to the right is the Blog button, which takes you directly to the site's free educational content. From there you can browse all four categories: Music History, Music Theory, Biographies, and Tips & Tricks. The blog is free to access — no subscription needed.

The Access Buttons

At the far right of the bar are the two access buttons:

  • Register: to create a new account.
  • Log In: to sign in if you already have an active account.

One Thing Worth Noting

The top navigation bar is designed to orient you from the very first second. No need to wander around the site: the search bar takes you to any exercise, the blog gives you free content while you decide whether to subscribe, and the access buttons are always in plain sight. It's a simple bar, but it covers everything you need to get started.
