How the Exercise Blocks Are Organized

Guitar Trainer's exercise system is divided into thematic blocks. Understanding how they work helps you know exactly where you are and where you're headed.

Guitar Trainer organizes all its content into exercise blocks. Each block groups a set of lessons around a specific technical or conceptual focus. This structure is intentional: it's designed to help students progress in an orderly way, without jumping between unrelated material.

Where to See All the Blocks

From the left navigation bar, the Training Blocks List button shows all the blocks available on the site. Selecting any block displays the lessons it contains. Each item in the list is a direct link to the exercise.

How the Block Logic Works

Each block has a clear thematic focus and a defined number of exercises. The Base Block, for example, contains 1,356 exercises built around the 12 notes of the chromatic scale: 113 exercises per note. The Greek Modes block has 700 exercises: 100 for each of the 7 modes. That internal consistency is intentional: it lets you work through any concept completely, note by note or mode by mode, with no gaps.

Where to Start

If you've just arrived at Guitar Trainer, the path is clear: open the Base Block and start from the first exercise. The system is designed so that the order of the exercises is the method itself. There's no need to decide what to practice — the next step is always right there.
