In-depth guides to understand what you are practicing.
Guitar Trainer is not just exercises. For each area of study there is a manual that goes beyond what fits in a lesson's text: it explains concepts in detail, provides theoretical context, and gives you the framework to understand what you are playing and why. The manuals are exclusive to subscribers and are available directly on the site, with no need to download anything.
Guitar Trainer's manuals cover the guitarist's full theoretical journey: from reading a staff to advanced harmony. There is a user manual that explains how the entire platform works, and music theory manuals that develop in depth the concepts that appear in the exercise blocks. They are complete guides, not summaries: designed so you can understand each concept before practicing it and return to them whenever you need.
From the left navigation bar you will find a direct button to the manuals section. You can also access them from the right navigation bar inside the lessons, which includes buttons that take you directly to the recommended manual for that block.
The manuals are not optional material. When an exercise asks you to work on a concept you do not fully understand, the manual is the step before, not after. The logic is simple: if you practice without understanding what you are doing, progress is slower and less solid. If you read the manual first, the exercise makes sense from the first bar.
One approach that works well: when you start a new block, spend a session reading the manual before picking up the guitar. You do not need to memorize it, just get familiar with the concepts. Then, while you practice, keep the manual open in another tab to check whenever something is unclear.
The manuals can be read directly inside Guitar Trainer, without leaving the platform. If you prefer a copy to study offline or to annotate, you can also download them. Both options are available from the manuals section.
