The companion app: metronome, tuner, round counter and more

Guitar Trainer has an Android app designed as a support tool for your practice sessions. It does not duplicate the website: it complements it. Available exclusively to subscribers, with access for one device per subscription.

What does the app include?

The app brings together in one place the tools you need most while practicing:

• Metronome. To work on timing with precision, without relying on external apps.
• Tuner. To keep your guitar in tune before and during the session.
• Round counter. To create your training rounds, setting training time and rest time. For example, 12 rounds of 3 minutes with one minute of rest between rounds.
• Backing tracks. A collection of accompaniment tracks separate from the website, designed for practicing directly from your phone.
• Chord dictionary. To look up the fingering for any chord whenever you need it.
• History. A log of your activity within the app.

Why it is useful

The app is designed for moments when you practice away from your computer or want the essential tools at hand without opening a browser. The metronome and tuner are the most used day to day: having them on your phone means they are always one tap away, with no distractions.

How to access it

The app is available for Android. If you are already a subscriber, you can download it and sign in with your Guitar Trainer account. Keep in mind that access is limited to one device per subscription.
