All the training audio on the site, organized so you can practice with a variety of rhythmic contexts from day one.
When you practice guitar with a rhythmic backing track, everything changes. Your timing improves, your focus sharpens, and the exercise stops feeling like an exercise. Guitar Trainer has a complete audio training library built exactly for that: giving you the musical context you need every time you open a lesson.
The audio library is in the Audio Tracks section of the left navigation bar. From there you can access all the tracks available on the site. The system works just like the exercises: you can mark tracks as favorites and organize them into training lists to keep them close at hand.
Tracks marked as favorites are stored in the Audio Favorites section, separate from the general library. From there you can also send them to any of your training lists.
It's one of the most striking details of Guitar Trainer, and it's completely intentional. The files have no assigned name. This serves two purposes: it forces students to listen to all available tracks, and it avoids framing the material within a specific musical style.
If the tracks had names like "blues in A" or "funk groove", most students would always practice over the same two or three. Without names, each track is a surprise — and that expands your rhythmic vocabulary without you even noticing.
The library brings together all the training audio available on the site. The same list system used for exercises applies here, letting you organize tracks according to your needs and weekly routine.
The player is completely independent from the lesson content. You can use the same track across several lessons, or switch tracks multiple times while working on a single lesson. There's no right combination — the idea is to explore.
Practice with all the audio tracks and at different tempos. Don't stick to the ones you already know. Every time you switch tracks you're exposing yourself to a new rhythmic context, and that's exactly what turns a technical exercise into real music.
Go to the Audio Tracks section, pick one at random, set a comfortable tempo, and open any lesson. That's the simplest way to get the most out of the library from day one.
