How to Organize Your Favorite Audio Tracks and Training Lists

Save the tracks that work best for you and organize them into lists by day or practice type.

Always practicing over the same audio tracks has its limits. But searching for a new one every time you open a lesson also breaks your flow. Guitar Trainer has an organization system that solves that problem: you can save the tracks that work best for you and organize them into lists to keep them close at hand.

Audio Favorites

Any track in the library can be marked as a favorite. Marked tracks are automatically stored in the Audio Favorites section of the left navigation bar, separate from the general library.

This section works as your personal selection: the tracks you already know, the ones that work best for practicing certain exercises, the ones you want accessible without having to search every time.

The Training Lists

In addition to favorites, Guitar Trainer has seven training lists available. From the audio favorites section you can send any track to any of these lists.

The lists are designed to organize your training by day of the week — the same logic that applies to exercises. You can build a list with the tracks you use on Mondays, another for Wednesdays, another for weekends. Or you can organize them by practice type: lists for speed work, slow tempo practice, or longer sessions.

The System Is the Same as for Exercises

An important detail: the audio list system is identical to the exercise list system. If you already use lists to organize your lessons, applying the same logic to audio tracks is immediate. All lists can be cleared and reloaded with new content at any time.

A Simple Way to Start

The next time you find a track you like while practicing, mark it as a favorite before closing the player. In five minutes of normal use you'll already have your own selection that you won't have to search for again.
